Inspired by true stories of women held in various fascist-like prisons and detention centers

over the past 90 years to include:

 Ventas, Madrid, Spanish Civil War

Ravensbrück, Nazi Germany, WWII

Damon, Israel, on-going

Evin, Iran, on-going

ICE Detention/Renditions sites, US and other countries, on-going

 

How these women, some of them, in spite of near starvation, scarcity of water for drinking or hygiene, physical, mental, emotional, and sexual trauma, could and did yet find hope, kindness, generosity and perseverance

within themselves as individuals and collectively among them​selves.

Initial theatrical design incorporates theatre in the round, heavily movement-based with movement

inspired by various systems/styles of dance / movement, along with a mix

of aural, tactile and olfactory elements.

The anticipated outcome is still to be determined.  Performance art? 

Cinematic production?  Live performance?  Much is yet to be determined.
